Warriors | Concept Set Design
My graduate thesis proposes a stage production of Warriors, the concept album by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis. Through production design, I explored how visual storytelling can reflect cultural shifts and deepen character development, focusing on themes like identity, displacement, and resilience.
This project marks the culmination of my M.F.A. at SCAD. From early sketches to final renderings, it investigates how design choices shape narrative and meaning. Like Miranda’s work on Hamilton, it proves that familiar stories are worth revisiting—not to rewrite history, but to expand whose voices are included in its telling.
This adaptation isn’t just a visual translation; it’s a cultural dialogue that bridges past and present, honoring the original while resonating with today’s audiences.
